2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Name (if provided via Google sign-in)
• Profile picture (if provided via Google sign-in)
• Password (hashed, if using email/password authentication)

2.2 YouTube Channel Data

When you connect a YouTube channel, we access the following data through the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API:

• Channel name, ID, and profile picture
• Channel statistics (subscriber count, view count, video count)
• Analytics data (views, watch time, subscribers gained/lost)
• Revenue data (estimated earnings, if your channel is monetized)

2.3 OAuth Tokens

We store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens so we can maintain your connection to YouTube on your behalf. These tokens are stored in our managed database (which encrypts data at rest) and are only accessed by our backend services to fetch your channel data. You can revoke these tokens at any time from your Google Account settings or by disconnecting the channel in ChannelSync.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Display aggregated analytics across your connected YouTube channels
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Send you important service notifications
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Improve and optimize the Service

4. YouTube API Services

Channel Sync uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

We access your YouTube data only with your explicit consent, and only for the purposes of displaying your channel analytics within Channel Sync.

4.1 Google API Services User Data Policy

Channel Sync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4.2 Limited Use Disclosure

Channel Sync's use of data received from YouTube APIs will adhere to the following restrictions:

• We only use your YouTube data to provide and improve the Channel Sync service features you requested
• We do not transfer your YouTube data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, comply with laws, or as part of a merger/acquisition with your consent
• We do not use your YouTube data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Human review of your YouTube data is limited to security investigations, legal compliance, or with your explicit consent

4.3 Revoking Access

You can revoke Channel Sync's access to your YouTube data at any time by:

• Disconnecting the channel within Channel Sync settings, or
• Visiting your Google Account permissions and removing Channel Sync

When you revoke access, we will delete all stored YouTube data associated with that channel within 30 days.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

• Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with encryption at rest
• OAuth tokens are held only on our backend and are never returned to the browser or exposed publicly
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS
• We regularly review and update our security practices

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party services that help us operate (e.g., database hosting, email services)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process
• Protection: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Export your data in a portable format
• Disconnect any YouTube channel and revoke our access to its data
